TWO STARTING POINTS. ONE CONNECTED WORKFLOW.

Need circuit design, or PCB layout?

PCB Design is the broader service. A dedicated PCB Layout enquiry is a focused starting point when the circuit is already defined.

I have a schematic.

Choose PCB Layout for component placement and routing from supplied circuit files, with the board outline, electrical constraints and output files agreed before work begins.

  • Placement, footprints and mechanical fit
  • Routing, stack-up and specified net constraints
  • Layout checks and agreed manufacturing files

I need help defining the circuit.

Choose PCB Design if you need circuit development, schematic changes or a separate design review before moving into layout.

  • Product functions and electrical requirements
  • Schematic and component planning
  • Design review and a path to prototyping

Layout work does not by itself validate the circuit’s function. Schematic design, simulation, firmware, certification and lab testing require a separately agreed scope.

DEFINED BY YOUR BOARD

The details that guide the layout.

Share the requirements that influence placement and routing. Complex or specialist requirements are evaluated before a commitment is made.

01

Mechanical fit

Board outline, connector positions, mounting holes, height restrictions and enclosure keep-outs.

02

Component placement

Footprints, orientation, assembly access, critical component grouping and any fixed locations.

03

Layers & routing rules

Preferred layer count, stack-up, trace/space rules, via constraints and manufacturing requirements.

04

Critical signals

Interface speeds, impedance targets, differential pairs, length constraints and sensitive analog nets.

05

Power & thermal

Current requirements, copper needs, return paths, heat sources and any layout-specific constraints.

06

Review & manufacturing

Agree design-rule checks, assembly considerations, review milestones and the exact output files.

Keep your file workflow clear. Specify the EDA software and version you use. KiCad and Altium Designer can be selected in the enquiry; use Other for EasyEDA, Allegro, PADS or another format. Compatibility and any conversion work are confirmed during review.

REVIEW AT THE RIGHT MOMENTS

A clear path from input to handoff.

Scope, fee, schedule and revision rounds are confirmed after reviewing the files. Work starts after the project is agreed.

01

Files & quotation

Review schematic readiness, footprints, mechanics and constraints. Agree what is included and what still needs to be resolved.

02

Placement review

Arrange components around electrical and mechanical priorities. Confirm fixed locations and major placement decisions.

03

Routing & checks

Route to the agreed rules and document any exceptions or questions that require customer decisions.

04

Review & delivery

Review the finished layout and agreed outputs. Record the revision and prepare the manufacturing handoff.

DEFINE WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE

A handoff you can work with.

Specify the required deliverables in your brief. Included files, source format and documentation are confirmed in the quotation.

01 / EDIT

Editable PCB files

Native layout source in the agreed EDA format, with required library dependencies or packaging instructions.

02 / FABRICATE

Fabrication outputs

Gerber and drill files, with stack-up or fabrication notes where included in the agreed scope.

03 / ASSEMBLE

Assembly information

Placement data, assembly drawings and a BOM aligned with customer-approved component information, where required.

04 / REVIEW

Checks & revision notes

An agreed record of design-rule checks, accepted exceptions, open items and delivered revision identifiers.

Fabrication, components and assembly are separate services. A layout delivery is not a guarantee of first-pass functional performance.

TELL US WHAT IS ALREADY DEFINED

Ready to lay out
your next board?

Send your schematic and describe the board requirements. Files can follow an initial discussion; a confirmed layout quote requires enough information to define the work.

  1. 01
    Circuit & components

Editable schematic, PDF schematic, netlist where available, component list and footprint libraries.

  2. 02
    Mechanical requirements

Board dimensions, outline, mounting holes, connector positions and height constraints.

  3. 03
    Electrical requirements

Power/current, interface speeds, critical nets, impedance and length-matching targets where relevant.

  4. 04
    Delivery requirements

EDA tool/version, desired schedule, source files and manufacturing outputs.

Upload checklist

ZIP the editable project and libraries. Include PDF drawings or annotated reference images for constraints. Up to 5 files, 20 MB each and 40 MB total.

    BEFORE YOU SUBMIT

    PCB Layout questions.

Why is PCB Layout separate from PCB Design?

PCB Design can cover circuit development through the manufacturing handoff. PCB Layout is the placement and routing stage. This page provides a direct brief and quotation path for customers who already have a defined circuit.

    Is schematic review included?

Input files are checked for layout readiness, such as missing footprints or unclear constraints. Full circuit validation, schematic redesign and simulation are separate services that must be explicitly included in the project scope.

Can you work from just Gerbers or a photo?

Gerbers and photos can be useful references, but do not replace an editable schematic, netlist and component information for a layout project. Tell us what files you have so we can assess the next step.

Do you support high-speed, RF or dense multilayer boards?

Submit the interfaces, frequencies, stack-up, impedance and other constraints for technical evaluation. Routing requirements, analysis needs, tools and feasibility are agreed for the specific project; specialist simulation is not automatically included.

How are price and delivery time determined?

Board complexity, component and pin counts, layers, mechanical constraints, routing rules, source-file readiness and revision scope affect the quotation. Price and schedule are confirmed after reviewing your files.

Will I receive editable source files?

Request the required source format in your brief. The EDA version, libraries, manufacturing outputs and editable files included in the delivery are confirmed before work starts.

Can I revise an existing layout?

Yes, submit the existing source project, schematic and a clear change list for review. Revision scope, compatibility and any impact on previously approved work need to be agreed.

Does the enquiry place an order?

No. It saves your requirements and private attachments for review. The screen shows a request reference; keep it for follow-up. No payment is taken by this form.

Connect layout to your next prototype.

Once the design is approved, continue to fabrication and assembly.
