Specify FPC stiffeners and contact areas
Show where added support is needed and how thickness should be measured.
Mark the stiffener areas
Include a clearly labeled drawing or dedicated layer showing each stiffener boundary, board side, material and required thickness. Different stiffener types should be distinguishable in the supplied files.
Connector and contact requirements
For a connector insertion area, provide the connector requirement and the intended finished contact-area thickness. Clarify whether a stated dimension includes the flex circuit, adhesive and stiffener.
Resolve ambiguity first
Do not rely on an unlabeled shape in an unrelated copper or silkscreen layer. If the construction is not clear, contact service@diyipcb.com with the drawing and connector details before placing the order.
