Prepare stencil files and side information
Prevent confusion between copper, solder mask and solder-paste layers.
Use the correct layers
Provide the solder-paste data needed for the top, bottom or both sides of the board. Solder mask and copper layers serve different purposes and should not be substituted for the intended paste data.
Match the assembly layout
If assembly uses a panel, confirm whether the stencil should follow the panel or a single board. Identify the board revision, orientation and side. Include any required fiducials and clearly state special aperture requirements.
Check the physical format
Confirm the overall stencil size and usable printing area against your printer or fixture. Review the options on SMT Stencil Quote and contact support if the required format is not shown.
